S Bar F Welcomes all Kids for Day Camp

S Bar F Scout Ranch will be holding a Day Camp on July 17, 18, and 19, and all children entering first through fifth grade are welcome to attend. Boys and girls are invited, children do not have to be in a Scouting program to join in on the fun. This is sure to to be a summer experience that your child will not forget! Campers can expect to hike, learn about nature, work with horses, make some amazing crafts, practice shooting sports, participate in a Civil War reenactment, swim in Nims lake, and play at Huck's Cove water park all at S-F Scout Ranch. 

With all of these crazy fun activities, our day camp staff are making safety their number one priority. All volunteers will have have a background check completed, have taken youth protection training, and have additional training certifications for each of their program areas. Retired Colonel USMC, Bob Fauser, is our Day Camp Director. With over 40 years of adult Scouting experience and service he is excited to provide an amazing Day Camp experience for Cub Scouts and the public. Fauser stated, "As "Opa" to my granddaughter Marley, who will be at camp, and having to answer to my daughter and wife, I am under a lot of pressure to make camp safe and fun for Marley and your child." Recently, Fauser completed the National Camping School through the BSA and became certified by the Red Cross for adult and pediatric first aid, CPR and AED. We take our safety very seriously!

Day Camp will be held from 9AM to 4PM on July 17, 18, and 19. S-F Scout Ranch is located on highway 67, South of Farmington. Within the Scout Ranch, there are four separate summer camps. We will be located at Camp Famous Eagle. Directions will be provided to registered campers. Campers who are not currently registered in a Scouting program will need an adult to accompany them at Day Camp. Camp is only $55 for three full days of fun.
