Harvest Night 2015
Farmington area children will get an early opportunity to dress in costume and collect their Halloween candy. Harvest Night, the Farmington Regional Chamber’s annual trick-or-treat and games festival for children, will be held Friday, Oct. 30 behind Long Hall in downtown Farmington.
Children will be able to trick-or-treat at area businesses beginning at 4 p.m., followed by the Harvest Night games at 4:30 p.m. and costume contest at 5:30.
Jessica Horton of First Bank is this year’s Harvest Night chair.
“Harvest Night is a great opportunity for families to have a fun Halloween experience in a safe environment,” Horton said. “We had about 1000 kids attend last year’s event, and we know just as many will be looking forward to it again this year.”
Horton said, “Several local businesses will sponsor a game or activity at this year’s Harvest Night.”
“It’s exciting to see so many people and businesses engaged in our community. They make events like Harvest Night possible.”
“This is a great opportunity for businesses to reach out to their clients in a fun atmosphere,” said Brittany Gladbach, member services and events coordinator at the Farmington Regional Chamber.
“We’re thankful to all those businesses that will open their doors for trick-or-treaters, those that will host a game and to this year's corporate sponsors."
Trick-or-treat bags including event schedules, trick-or-treat routes and more will be available for pick up starting Monday, Oct. 26. They will be available at any corporate sponsor's location: American Family Insurance-Edward Felker, Belgrade State Bank, Big River Communications, First Bank, First State Community Bank, and Taylor Tax & Financial Consulting.
Harvest Night is open to the public at no cost.
Harvest Night is coordinated by the Farmington Regional Chamber, whose mission is to foster business success, improve the economic environment and enhance the quality of life of the Farmington area through business development, advocacy, community engagement, leadership programs and member services.
*Harvest Night games will be held weather permitting.
