Parkland Health Center to Host Women’s Imaging Center Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony in Partnership with Area Chambers of Commerce

Farmington, MO – Parkland Health Center, part of BJC HealthCare, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newly expanded Women’s Imaging Center with a joint ribbon-cutting ceremony in collaboration with the Park Hills – Leadington, Farmington, Desloge, and Bonne Terre Chambers of Commerce.

The celebration will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Parkland Health Center, located at 1101 W. Liberty Street in Farmington. The event will feature remarks from hospital leaders and chamber representatives, followed by the official ribbon-cutting and tours of the new imaging center.

This milestone marks the completion of a $2.3 million expansion project launched in 2024, nearly doubling the hospital’s breast health service capacity. The Parkland Health Center Foundation supported this enhancement through a $200,000 donation for imaging equipment and patient support, made possible by the generous contributions of our community. The upgraded Women’s Imaging Center now features:

• A mammography 3-D unit with stereotactic breast biopsy capability
• A second mammogram unit for expanded appointment availability
• Advanced OB ultrasound technology
• Enhanced bone density scanning services

The new Women's Imaging Center represents a significant investment in the health of women across our region. With these improvements, Parkland Health Center can now serve up to 12,000 patients annually, helping more women access vital diagnostic screenings and care without long wait times.
