"The Sandlot" Outdoor Movie at the LIFE Center
The L.I.F.E. Center for Independent Living will be hosting a FREE SUMMER MOVIE NIGHT on Friday, September 17th on our lower parking lot at 7:30 pm. This month our Summer Movie Night feature will be The Sandlot. The evening will start with Free Hotdogs and Popcorn starting at 7:30 pm. The movie will start at 8:00 pm.
The Sandlot - When Scottie Smalls (Thomas Guiry) moves to a new neighborhood, he manages to make friends with a group of kids who play baseball at the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. The boys run into trouble when Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over a fence.
Movie Critic James Plath of Family Home Theater says, "The Sandlot is just a fun, funny film that holds plenty of family appeal because it has a wholesome Norman Rockwell vibe and, as with any good sports film, you don't have to love the game to love the film."
The L.I.F.E. Center for Independent Living is presenting this fully licensed film as an outreach to the local community. We want everyone in our area and the surrounding counties that we serve to understand what we do and the resources we have available. We invite the public to attend these movies with friends and family and have an enjoyable evening out under the stars while watching the movie on a big screen. Attendees are invited to ask questions and pick up information regarding services and programs that are available through L.I.F.E. for individuals with disabilities and senior citizens. Since this is an open-air event, we invite you to bring your lawns chairs or blankets and make yourselves comfortable. We hope to see you there!
