About Us

Thurman, Shinn & Company was formed in 2001 by Lee Thurman and Greg Shinn. Prior to the formation of the partnership, Lee worked for a National CPA firm, local CPA firm and as a controller for a not-for-profit entity. Greg also worked for a local CPA firm, a private commercial entity and a local government entity. In 2023, the firm was renamed to Thurman, Shinn & Schweiss to include partner Adam Schweiss. Adam joined the firm in 2010 after spending three years at a large regional firm in St. Louis. He was promoted to partner in 2015.

The renaming of the firm recognizes both the strong heritage and promising future. The growth the firm has experienced over the past two decades is attributed to many factors including our commitment to excellence in client services and our commitment to hire and develop the best professional talent in this region.
