News Release: Jamie Lipe awarded Next Gen Leadership Award in Kansas City

Kansas City, Mo. — Jamie Lipe, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at First State Community Bank, was recently awarded the Next Gen Leadership Award by the Missouri Bankers Association in Kansas City.
 

“Receiving this award is an awesome recognition of the time I have spent at the bank and in the community and that maybe I am making a difference day by day,” Lipe said of her award. “I am thankful to the bank for nominating me for the award and believing in me.”
 

Lipe has 15 years of banking and financial experience with FSCB in Farmington, including roles as a Loan Review Officer, Accounting Analyst, Controller, and Senior VP of Finance and Accounting. Before FSCB, Lipe worked in public accounting, auditing financial institutions. In addition to serving customers, Lipe serves the community as the Secretary of the Board of Education for St. Paul Lutheran School.
 

As part of the award, the Missouri Bankers Foundation donated to the Pink Penguin Project, Lipe’s chosen charity.
 

“I had a hard time deciding on the charity because we have so many local organizations doing great things. I am amazed by the individuals running those organizations. With it being October, I thought it was a fitting time to highlight The Pink Penguin Project. This organization has such a unique perspective on helping women fight breast cancer headed up by Becky Buchanan with the perspective of a survivor and health care provider herself,” Lipe said of her charity choice.
 

Lipe has a BS in Accounting from Truman State University, is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, and is a CPA. She lives in Farmington with her husband and two daughters. They are very active with sports, travel, and outdoor activities and especially enjoy spending time on the water.
