Parks Maintenance Worker
The City of Farmington is currently accepting applications for a Parks Maintenance Worker. Typical duties include a variety of semi-skilled work in the construction, modification, maintenance, and repair of City infrastructure, including parks, park facilities and buildings, sports fields, recreation trails, landscapes, playgrounds and equipment, mowing and weed abatement; provides assistance with set-up and removal of equipment and facilities at special events; uses and operates a variety of manual and power tools and light to heavy power driven equipment; and performs related work as required.
Applicant must have a valid Missouri Class E Driver’s License. A Missouri Class A Commercial Driver’s License is required within 12 months of employment (paid for by the City). Some overtime, weekend and evening work may be required.
Starting pay is $16.40 per hour with an excellent benefit package. Pay will increase to $16.91 per hour upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period. The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes full paid health, dental, vision and life insurance, Missouri LAGERS retirement, paid vacation after six months, sick leave, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and more.
