Description
Step back in time with us on Saturday, October 18, at 9:00 a.m. for the Trolley Ride Through History, presented by the Sainte Genevieve Museum Learning Center. This four-hour guided tour offers a fascinating look at the people, places, and stories that have shaped our region.
You’ll begin at the Museum Learning Center before traveling to the Bloomsdale Excavating Museum, where you’ll explore the company’s rich history. The journey continues to Terrace Winery on Y Road, with a story about a meteorite discovery and the winery’s unique past. A stop at West County Quarry will provide insight into this important site, followed by a visit to Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, where you’ll hear more about the area’s deep roots. The final destination is The Midway, where guests can enjoy lunch while learning about the history of this longtime local landmark.
Tickets are $35 per person for a trolley seat or $35 per car to join the caravan in your own vehicle. Maps will be provided at the start of the tour. Seats on the trolley are limited, so pre-registration is encouraged.
To reserve your spot, call the Sainte Genevieve Museum Learning Center at 573-883-3466 or stop by the museum at 360 Market Street in Ste. Genevieve. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the stories and landmarks that make our community special.
