Part-Time MAC Store Customer Service

Position Summary

Provide friendly, helpful customer service, accurately check out customers and accept payments, assist with stocking and cleaning the store, assist with clerical duties as needed.

  3. Propose and implement continuous improvement ideas

Essential Functions

  1. Serve customers, operate cash register, and record sales accurately.
  2. Assist in picking, processing, and packing online orders and processing online returns.
  3. Prepare and process book returns and process book authorizations as directed.
  4. Assist in stocking and store displays as needed.
  5. Assist in the preparation for taking of physical inventories.
  6. Assist with computer entries, rental return entries, sanitizing, and preparing textbooks for future sales.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

Education:

HS Diploma.

Work Experience:

Some customer service related work experience.

Industry Knowledge:

Knowledge of general office procedures and ability to use standard office equipment such as cash registers, calculators, copiers, and computers.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Ability to bend and stoop to place items on lower shelves and stretch to place items on high shelves.

Ability to carry, push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds of books and supplies on a frequent basis.

Ability to walk and/or stand more than 50% of the time.

Ability to hear and speak to assist customers in the store and on the phone.

This position requires sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, seeing, hearing and repetitive motion.
