Support Technician ($30K - $45K/year)
KnockTurn Labs is a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP) & IT Contracting company serving businesses in the Kansas City and St. Louis, MO metro areas.
I'm looking for an individual who's looking to grow into a well-rounded IT professional. You need to be cleanly dressed, friendly, well-mannered, and always trying to take care of our customers. You will be providing remote, and on-site support throughout the workday.
Typical days can range from sitting in the office doing remote support or hardware setup; to large cabling, network, and hardware installs that require the use of ladders, drills, and hand tools, making holes in walls, installing ceiling mounted access points, and building network racks.
Some days you will get dirty, but we enjoy those days, and they're not every day.
You will be driving around in a company provided work vehicle. Tools will be provided to complete your various tasks. It's your responsibility to maintain this vehicle in a clean and well-ordered manner, to report low inventory for restocking, and maintenance issues for repair.
Office space is clean, well-stocked with food and snacks, and provides a very cozy and warm atmosphere.
You will be trained in many technologies like RMM, Cyber, VoIP, Server, and Security Cameras
You will be trained on using tools, running/making Ethernet cables, installing networking hardware, access points, wall plates, and all sorts of physical technology.

Here's an idea of some typical responsibilities:
- Check backups, and install updates/patches remotely
- Address alerts triggered in our monitoring system
- Provide remote end user support for our customers
- Set up, troubleshoot, and monitor servers and enterprise network equipment
- Document customer IT configurations for future reference
- Installation of firewalls, servers, access points, and computers
- Installing of VoIP phones, servers, and PBX systems
- Installing security cameras and NVR systems
- Installing new patch panels, running ethernet cables, and terminating into wall ports for new office installations
- Evaluate and learn new technologies to provide the latest and best service offerings to our customers
- Research and implement new technology products and tools
- Take a role in improving workflows, documentation and processes

QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in a relevant field
- Technical Certificates are a HUGE plus (A+, Network +, etc.)
- 1+ years' experience in a customer service or technical support role
- Exemplify strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand and brainstorm creative solutions to complex problems is essential
- Must have strong time management skills and work productively with minimal supervision
- Familiarity and understanding of the functions of basic computer hardware and software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative attitude are a must
- Ability to explain technical problems in layman's terms
- Must have sound analytical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Possess the ability to team-lift products up to 50lbs.
