PARK HILLS, MO – Mineral Area College is pleased to announce an upcoming presentation by one of its most distinguished former students, retired Air Force General Glen VanHerck. General VanHerck will speak on Tuesday, April 28, at 5:00 pm in the Cardinal Center on the college’s Park Hills campus. The presentation, titled "Today's Challenging Strategic Landscape, at Home and Abroad," is free and open to the public.
A proud native of Bismarck, General VanHerck's remarkable career in the United States Air Force began in this very community. He attended Mineral Area College before continuing his education and military career. His perspective on global and domestic strategic challenges is uniquely shaped by a lifetime of leadership and service.
This event is a rare opportunity for members of the Mineral Area community to hear from a local son who rose to the highest ranks of military leadership. His insights on the strategic environment, from cybersecurity to global conflict and domestic stability, promise to be profound and timely.
“We are incredibly proud to welcome General VanHerck back to Mineral Area College,” said Dr. Keith Zoromski, MAC Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. “His story is an inspiration to our students, and his expertise is invaluable.
