Parkland Health Center Named to Forbes’ Top Hospitals 2026 List

Parkland Health Center has been named to Forbes’ inaugural Top Hospitals 2026 list, a national recognition that places the hospital among the top-performing healthcare providers in the country. Parkland was one of only four hospitals in Missouri to earn a spot on the list.

The Forbes ranking evaluates hospitals across the United States based on patient outcomes, hospital practices, value, and patient experience. More than 5,400 general acute care hospitals were eligible for consideration. After extensive review, fewer than 800 hospitals nationwide received a four- or five-star rating and were included.

Parkland Health Center stood out for its performance in key clinical areas such as patient safety, infection prevention, survival rates, and readmissions. These outcomes played the largest role in the rankings and were adjusted to account for differences in the communities hospitals serve.

“Being named to Forbes’ inaugural Top Hospitals list is a meaningful affirmation of the care our team provides every day,” said Annette Schnabel, president of Parkland Health Center. “This recognition reflects our commitment to quality, compassion, and access to care for our community and the surrounding region. I’m incredibly proud of our physicians, nurses, and caregivers.”

The rankings were developed using nationally reported data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and reviewed by healthcare experts to provide an independent look at hospital performance.

For Parkland Health Center, the recognition highlights the strength of its care team and reinforces its role as a trusted healthcare provider for residents throughout the region.
