Saint Francis Foundation Honors Three Donors of Distinction 

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. –

Saint Francis Foundation recently presented three Donors of Distinction awards during Grace Notes, the Foundation’s annual donor appreciation dinner. The awards recognize exceptional leadership giving and longstanding commitment to advancing healthcare across the region.

The first award of the evening was presented to First State Community Bank in recognition of its generous support, including Saint Francis Mobile Wellness outreach efforts. Their contributions have helped host Days of Caring events throughout the region and expanded the Reach Out and Read program to the Saint Francis Farmington Clinic, extending vital services to even more patients and families.

Jim and Teresa Maurer were also honored for their leadership giving and unwavering support of Saint Francis Healthcare System initiatives. Executive Director Stacy Huff noted, “Every time Saint Francis has needed a leadership gift, we have always been able to count on the Maurers. That is why we are taking this opportunity to share our deep gratitude and recognize them as Donors of Distinction.” The Maurers have been steadfast supporters for decades and have been Charter Lifetime Members of the Foundation’s 1875 Society since 2005.

The final Donor of Distinction award was presented to Ann Wescoat Ritter, who was also celebrating her birthday. In addition to recognizing Ann’s personal generosity, the Foundation paid tribute to the entire Wescoat Ritter family for its multi-generational legacy of providing healthcare in southeast Missouri. A historical overview highlighted more than 150 years of family involvement in healthcare and Saint Francis philanthropic support.

“Ann, you’ve had an amazing front row seat to witness your family’s dedication to healthcare throughout your entire life,” Huff said. “We are deeply grateful for the influence and commitment your family has made over generations, and we thank you for allowing us to share your extraordinary story.”
